The MTI Foundation announces the Fifth Annual Tour of Kitchens at The Concession March 15

(Bradenton, FL, February 25, 2015)  The Fifth Annual Tour of Kitchens will be held on Sunday, March 15, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the exclusive Manatee County gated golf course community of The Concession.

Select luxury model homes in The Concession will be open for guests to “tour the kitchens,” enjoy the beauty of the homes, taste food and wine, converse with the chefs and mingle with other guests.  As a sweet finale, guests will enjoy a silent auction and desserts prepared by Manatee Technical College baking and pastry students under the direction of Chef Dana Johnson of Sugar Cubed.

The Concession is a gated residential community situated around The Concession Golf Course which was designed in honor of the 1969 Ryder Cup where Jack Nicklaus conceded a putt to Tony Jacklin. That gesture, known as “the concession,” rendered the two teams in a tie—the first in Ryder Cup history—and became known as one of the greatest acts of sportsmanship ever. In 2004, Nicklaus and Jacklin set out to find the perfect piece of land for a championship course and selected the 520 acres in east Manatee County. Today, The Concession boasts an award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course designed in association with British great and fellow World Golf Hall of Famer Tony Jacklin.

Exclusivity and luxury define the residences of The Concession.  Custom estate homes are situated within 1200 virgin acres of century old oaks, towering pines and protected wetlands. Most of The Concession home sites are at least an acre, ensuring a stately, private setting for grand estate living.

Participating developers are Anchor Homes, Emerald Homes, Neal Signature Homes, Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Lee Wetherington Homes, and John Cannon Homes.  Sponsors include Cox Chevrolet, AC Warehouse, and the Manatee-Sarasota Building Industry Association.

Tickets are $55 per person.  A VIP package for $800 includes limousine service, a bottle of champagne and tickets for a party of eight.   Tickets may be ordered online at www.mtifoundation.org or by sending a check made payable to MTI Foundation, PO Box 15239, Bradenton, FL 34280.

Proceeds benefit the MTI Foundation whose mission is to provide resources to support programs, teachers and students at Manatee Technical College.  For more information, contact Virginia Sirocky at 941.751.7900 x 1012 or at sirockyv@manateeschools.net.
