This curriculum is designed to deliver a comprehensive live fire training program, within a safe and controlled environment, in accordance with NFPA 1402, NFPA 1403, and NFPA 1500. Both lecture and practical will be used allowing participants to apply knowledge of the above standards to training activities. Proof of Florida Fire Instructor current certification will be required. A live LP Gas burn will take place using academy students.

Participants shall supply personal PPE including SCBA. For those participants not able to bring a SCBA, the academy will provide an MSA FIREHAWK 7 with spare bottles at no additional cost.
