National Technical Honor Society

The mission of the National Technical Honor Society is to honor student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership.

Every year MTC students inducted …..The National Technical Honor Society induction is an evening of celebration in which we honor our most outstanding students. The students who were inducted come from various career programs, as well as from different walks of life with various career goals.Some of our inductees are high school students who have made very mature decisions to get career training early to prepare for the future.Others are adult students who are making career changes, and many of them making great sacrifices to go back to school to prepare them for a dream career.

There are over 1,500 chapters of the National Technical Honor Society in the United States. Our MTC chapter was granted a charter in 1997, so this was our 9th induction ceremony.

To be inducted into the honor society, the students had to have met strict criteria and been nominated by their instructors. The criteria for induction into NTHS includes, having an “A” average with at least 50% completion of their program, good attendance, and the characteristics of honor society members: leadership, honesty, responsibility, and good character.
