MTC graduates Medical Assistants with great job outlook

(Bradenton, FL—June 21, 2017)   The Medical Assisting program at Manatee Technical College graduated 12 students on June 21.

Graduates were Tammy Olson, Ashley Prezioso, Elizabeth Brady, Nicole Knies, Myrlandha Marc, Ana Ochoa, Shalia Evans, Nachell Proctor, Talaya Turner, Latressa Phelps, Nicolette Ray, and Brittney Price (left to right, ascending).

Class president Shalia Evans told her fellow graduates, “Ladies…we didn’t just ‘do’ this; we persevered, we accomplished and excelled…and we supported each other…I applaud you all…”  She ended her speech with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt.

Medical assistants perform both administrative and clinical duties in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.  According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, projected job outlook is excellent.
