MTC marine program receives $7,500 donation from Crosthwait

(Bradenton, FL—October 13, 2017)   Crosthwait Group executive board members Harry Blenker (left) and Bob Gause (middle) presented a $7,500 donation from the Crosthwait Memorial Fishing Tournament to instructor Kelly Ewing (right) to support students in the Marine Service Technology program at Manatee Technical College.

Ewing said the money will be used for student scholarships and to help students pay for specialty tools, industry certification test fees and attending SkillsUSA.

The Crosthwait Group has donated over $24,500 in cash and equipment to the MTC program since 2012.  The group raises the money through an annual fishing tournament.

Blenker and Gause presented the check to MTC during the school’s annual advisory committee meeting at MTC on October 13, 2017.
