MTech selects MTC students to redesign company logo

(Bradenton, FL—April 21, 2016) On April 21, 2016, MTech Mobile Device Management president and founder Tony Fernandez selected two Manatee Technical College students to work with him to redesign his company’s logo. Douglas Forsythe and Terrell Fields, both 20, were chosen by Fernandez through a competitive process.

The final design will grace the company’s new headquarters on US-301 when it opens this fall.

“You’re doing some great work here at Manatee—very creative,” Fernandez told the class. “I saw some designs that I haven’t seen from some professional competitors.”

Fernandez declared Forsythe the winner of the competition; however, because he liked elements of Fields designs, he asked them to collaborate on the logo redesign.

Students in MTC’s Digital Design program competed for the honor of working with the company to finalize the logo on the new building. Instructor Marina Proskurina has won international awards for her work.

MTech has been working with MTC’s IT programs since the company opened its Lakewood Ranch location in 2015. The company has hired numerous graduates to date.

Fernandez awarded iPad minis to Forsythe and Fields and iTunes gift cards to all the other students who entered designs for consideration.
