Public invited to MTC East Campus open house September 28

The East Campus of Manatee Technical College invites prospective students and the community-at-large to an open house on Thursday, September 28.  Open house hours will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the MTC campus on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.  The Lakewood Ranch campus specializes in career preparation for health science and public service occupations.

 

Self-guided tours will be available in dental assisting, EMT/paramedic, fire fighter, law enforcement, massage therapy, medical assisting, nursing, optometric assistant, pharmacy technician, and surgical technology programs.  Instructors, counselors, and financial aid personnel will be on hand to answer questions.

 

Visitors will see a firefighter class in action, EMT students performing scenarios with human patient simulators, and clinical labs that mimic authentic work environments in many healthcare professions.    The East Campus is located at 5520 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.

 

MTC is accepting students for programs beginning in January; several programs have start dates in October and November.

 

Manatee Technical College isfully accredited by the Council on Occupational Education.  Individual programs are also approved by national, state or industry accrediting or certifying agencies or organizations.
