State Farm to donate car to Manatee Technical College 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015

(Bradenton, FL—August 5, 2015)  State Farm is donating a 2005 Hyundai Sonata to Manatee Technical College for instructional use in its Auto Collision Repair & Refinishing program. Jose Soto and other company representatives will be on hand at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, for a media event to present the salvage vehicle to the tech center.

It will be an opportunity for the media to learn what students will do with the vehicle. State Farm will be inviting area legislators to the event, as well.

Doug Wagner, Director of Adult Career and Technical Education and Manatee Technical College, is grateful for the industry support for MTC programs and students.  Instructor Dan Elek made the application for the salvage vehicle from State Farm.

The school will have the use of the donated vehicle for six months, after which time MTC has the option to apply for another salvage vehicle for instructional use.

Students will be present.  MTC classes started August 5, 2015.
