424 students to compete 2/23 at MTC in SkillsUSA Region 6 conference

Over 400 students will descend on Manatee Technical College on Thursday, February 23, for the 2017 SkillsUSA Region 6 Skills & Leadership Conference.

High school and college students from 5 counties will compete in 54 contests for the right to compete at the state level.

See students compete in hands-on and highly visual events such as automotive service, automotive refinishing, collision repair, commercial baking, cosmetology, culinary arts, electrical construction wiring, major appliance repair, nail care, television video production, and more.

Skills contests begin at 8 a.m. (best photo opps 8:30-10:30).

Most contests will be held at the MTC Main Campus, 6305 SR 70 E.
