SkillsUSA-Champions-at-Work

SkillsUSA stands as the leading career and technical students organization (CTSO), encompassing a vibrant community of almost 400,000 students, educators, and industry collaborators. At Manatee Technical College, we embrace the mission of this organization, which is to equip students with the skills they need to excel in their chosen professions, foster leadership qualities essential for successful careers, and instill a sense of responsibility towards their communities.

Providing Opportunities for Professional Growth Through Competitions

At Manatee Technical College, students are provided with the exciting opportunity to showcase their professional and leadership abilities through SkillsUSA competitions. From local and regional levels to the prestigious National Championships, our students engage in competitions that validate their skills and aptitude.

Participating in SkillsUSA competitions not only allows students to demonstrate their readiness for the workforce but also offers them the chance to earn recognition, valuable tools, prizes, and even college scholarships. Additionally, these competitions provide invaluable experience that enhances students’ resumes and can positively influence hiring decisions.

Notably, Manatee Technical College has established itself as a standout performer in SkillsUSA national competitions, consistently earning numerous medals. Furthermore, our students have even advanced to compete in the esteemed WorldSkills Competitions, akin to an Olympic-style event in the realm of technical skills.
