Coffee & Careers

(Bradenton, FL—May 21, 2018) Have you ever wanted to just sit and have a cup of coffee with a working professional to learn more about a possible career path? Manatee Technical College will make that possible with its new Coffee & Careers events.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to meet, network, and talk with instructors and working professionals while enjoying a cup of coffee and a light snack.

The first MTC Coffee & Careers event will focus on careers in Medical Assisting, Optometric Assisting, and Pharmacy Technician. It will be held on May 24 at 2 p.m. at the MTC East Campus in the Law Enforcement and Allied Health Building, 5540 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard in Bradenton.

Professionals from Center for Sight, Community Eye Center, and Walgreen’s are among those who will be present to chat with attendees about job prospects and future career options.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the career certificate programs and see the state-of-the-art equipment MTC has to prepare students for employment in these healthcare industries.

Anyone interested attending is requested to RSVP to career counselor Amy Gates at 941.72.8100 x 2032 or gates2a@manateeschools.net.
