(Bradenton, FL—November 12, 2015)   The Farmworker Career Development Program of Manatee Technical College and the Adelante Team of Tropicana Products, Inc., will be giving school supplies to migrant children at the East Coast Migrant Head Start School at Falkner Farms this Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

The MTC Farmworker Career Development Program, School District of Manatee County, is celebrating 50 years of serving Manatee and Sarasota counties.  Tropicana employees have been long-time supporters of the Farmworker Program, which provides educational and supportive services to chronically unemployed and underemployed farmworkers to obtain the career-related education needed to prepare them to enter or advance in the workforce and achieve economic stability.

Sponsorship opportunities are available.  If any business or private donor would like to donate money for the Farmworker Emergency Fund, please contact the Farmworker Education and Services Program for more information at 941-751-7947.  This fund is used to support farmworker families in crisis situations to provide them with food, shelter, and health services.
