Migrant students receive free dental care at Manatee Technical College | From ABC 7

Last week, local dentists, hygienists teamed up with the dental assisting students of Manatee Technical College to give 44 migrant students free dental care.

The initiative is part of a community service project called ‘Passport to Wellness Dental Project’. The project is a joint mission between MTC dental assisting and farmworker career development programs and the school nurses of Manatee County School District.

Those who treated on December 9th have limited access to routine dental care. The MTC students are active in HOSA, SkillsUSA, and the MTC Student Chapter of the American Dental Assistants Association.

Tropicana Products, Inc., sponsored the event.
