Manatee Technical College Graduates Record Number at Winter Graduation

 (Bradenton, FL—February 4, 2025)  Manatee Technical College graduated a record number of students for its winter graduation on January 30, 2025.  Those students completing programs during the fall semester of the 2024-25 school year numbered 509—a 27 percent increase over graduation the same time last year, owing to a similar increase in enrollment. 

The 250 graduates who attended the ceremony heard speeches from two of their fellow grads:  Marianna Aguirre from the Patient Care Technician program and Jordan Wilson from the Digital Photography program.  

            The Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs with the highest number of graduates were Heating Ventilation Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration with 47 grads, Facials Specialty with 42 and Nails Specialty with 42.  Other programs with high numbers were Applied Cybersecurity with 23 grads, Automotive Service Technology with 19, Automotive Collision Technology with 18, the Law Enforcement Academy with 18, and Electrician, Paramedic, and Welding, with 17 graduates each.  Twenty-seven other CTE programs graduated 223 students.  MTC’s GED program graduated 26. 

            “We are proud of the accomplishments of our students,” said Doug Wagner, director of MTC, “and the instructors who facilitated their education, leading them to be ready for the great careers awaiting them in our community.”  

            MTC will hold two graduation ceremonies in the June 2025 for its spring semester graduates.
