MTC Instructor Work Honored in International Competition

(Bradenton, FL—August 20, 2015)Marina Proskurina, digital design instructor at Manatee Technical College, has been honored with a Merit Award from the Professional Photographers of America in the 2015 International Photographic Competition. Her work, “Scrapbook of Life,” has been selected for inclusion in the 2016 International General Collection Book.

Winning awards for her digital photography and design work is not new to Proskurina. This is the third year she has had images selected for inclusion in the PPA Annual International Loan Collection. She has also won Merit Awards from the Florida State PPA Competition, as well as many other awards, including an International Kodak Gallery Award.

Proskurina is a member of the International Artist Federation Unesco and a Top 10 Photographer in Central Florida.

In January 2016, Proskurina’s winning images will be on display at ImagingUSA.

Proskurina teaches Digital Design at Manatee Technical College; photography is part of the curriculum. The program prepares adult students for employment as graphic or multimedia designers.
