MTC Law Enforcement Academy earns perfect audit award | From the Lakewood Ranch Herald Tribune

Manatee Technical College’s Law Enforcement Academy in Lakewood Ranch has earned a Meritorious Award from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The Academy was recognized for accomplishing a Perfect Trust Fund Audit for fiscal year 2013-14.  The certificate was awarded for MTC’s administration of the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Trust Fund and providing instruction and facilities within the guidelines as established by applicable statutes, rules and Commission policies and procedures.

FDLE Bureau Chief Glen Hopkins presented the perfect audit award to MTC Law Enforcement Academy director Jay Romine at the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Committee meetings held in Lake Mary, Florida, on January 28, 2016 (see photo).

The MTC Law Enforcement Academy receives FDLE Trust Fund dollars each year to provide Commission-approved advanced and specialized training courses to law enforcement officers in our community.
