Bradenton, FL (May 1, 2019) – The franchise owners of local Great Clips salons recently awarded cosmetology tools worth $1,000 to Caitlin Johnson, a student at Manatee Technical College.
Johnson of Bradenton, Florida, and thousands of other cosmetology students across North America applied for the 2019 Great Scholarship. To be eligible, cosmetology students submitted their responses to questions related to their strengths, attributes, and career goals in the cosmetology industry.
Great Clips salon general manager Melissa DeForge and stylist Erin Sulbaran presented the award on behalf of Great Clips salons in the Tampa area. “MTC produces very high-quality students,” said DeForge, “and Caitlin is one of them—she proved her dedication to the craft.”
The Great Scholarship program awards $100,000 each year to cosmetology students throughout North America, with individual awards ranging from $250 to $1,500. This is just one way that Great Clips connects with cosmetology students to provide an opportunity to jumpstart their career.
Great Clips has more than 4,200 salons throughout the United States and Canada, making it the world’s largest salon brand. Great Clips franchisees employ nearly 40,000 stylists who receive ongoing training to learn the Great Clips customer service system and advanced technical skills.
