MTC Workforce Training Initiative to offer Security Officer course

(Bradenton, FL—May 18, 2016)   Manatee Technical College (MTC) Workforce Training Initiative will offer a Class “D” Security Officer training course beginning June 3, 2016. Upon completion of the 40-hour course, students will be eligible to apply for a class “D” security license and employment. Recruiters will be on campus upon completion of class.

This course meets the state licensing requirements to earn the unarmed private security officer license and qualifies applicants to apply for the license through the Florida Division of Licensing.  The security officer course includes regulation of the industry, department rules, licensing criteria and techniques of security.

Classes will be held 8 a.m.to 5 p.m., Friday, June 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, June 6, 7 and 8 at the MTC Main Campus, 6305 SR 70 East in Bradenton.  Cost of the five-day course is $199.
