MTI to induct 19 students into National Adult Education Honor Society

(Bradenton, FL—May 13, 2014)

Manatee Technical Institute will induct 19 students into the National Adult Education Honor Society on May 15, 2014. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at Bayshore High School Auditorium.

It will be an hour filled with heart-warming stories of perseverance and achievement. Family members, friends and instructors will pin each of the inductees.

The students chosen for this honor are in the top two percent of their class. The Manatee adult education program serves over 1,200 students.

About half the inductees are working towards their GEDs, and the other half are learning English as a secondary language.

The chapter is named for Lee Carter Brown, a strong advocate of literacy programs. The MTI Chapter is one of only nine NAEHS chapters in the state of Florida.
