BRADENTON — Manatee Technical Institute will host an open house at the Main Campus on Wednesday morning, September 18, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The public is encouraged to attend. The open house will give the community a chance to see the new campus and the students in action in their labs. MTI will showcase over 30 career and technical education programs.
The 2013-14 school year marks the 50th anniversary of the school. The new Main Campus opened in January of this year.  MTI Main is located at 6305 State Road 70 East in front of Braden River High School.
The original campus on 34th Street opened in 1963. MTI now has four campus locations.  Open houses for the other three campuses will be later in the year.
Manatee Technical Institute is a postsecondary career and technical education center under the School District of Manatee County offering over 50 career preparation programs. MTI is fully accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The mission of Manatee Technical Institute is to meet and exceed our community’s training and educational expectations. MTI is a 2007 Tampa Bay Business of the Year; MTI students have won more SkillsUSA medals than any other school in the nation for the past ten years; 2013-14 marks MTI’s 50th Anniversary.
