Entry Level Electrician – Residential
DM Electrical Services is located in the Bradenton/Sarasota area and has been in business for over 16 years providing the larger southwestern Florida community with superior electrical services for both residential and commercial applications. Our goal is to provide our customers exceptional service and a superior finished product that exceeds their expectations.
Our electricians play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems in both existing and new constructions. Entry level positions will be provided training and evaluation on the following Responsibilities and Duties.
Responsibilities / Duties
• Inspection and Diagnosis: Conducting thorough inspections of electrical systems to identify issues, inefficiencies, or potential hazards.
• Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshooting electrical problems and performing necessary repairs to ensure the system operates safely and efficiently.
• Upgrades and Improvements: Replacing outdated wiring, installing new fixtures, and upgrading electrical panels to meet modern standards and increase energy efficiency.
• Compliance: Ensuring all work complies with National, State, and Local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Customer Interaction:
o Communicating with homeowners, documenting information for management to provide estimates and solutions for repair and upgrade work.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams to understand the electrical requirements of the project.
• Wiring Installation: Running wires and cables through walls, ceilings, and floors to connect electrical systems and components.
• Fixture Installation: Installing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and other electrical components in accordance with the project specifications.
• System Testing: Testing electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely before the final inspection.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other construction trade professionals (GC, Site Foreman, HVAC, Plumbers, and builders) to ensure the electrical work is coordinated with other aspects of the construction project.
Required Skills
• Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
• Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose and solve electrical issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in following blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure proper installation and compliance with codes.
• Physical Stamina: The capability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders, crawling through tight spaces, and lifting heavy equipment.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
Qualifications
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent and/or technical school programs in electrical technology.
