Pay Range

$20.68-$38.34 All positions will be given an additional tool allowance ranging from $1.84-$2.62, depending on hired level.

Job Title or Skills Set Required

Tech I: Minimum of two (2) years’ work and/or training experience (within the last 7 years) in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and vehicular equipment.

Tech II: Minimum of three (3) years’ work and/or training experience (within the last 8 years) in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and vehicular equipment.

Tech III: Minimum of five (5) years’ work and/or training experience (within the last 10 years) in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and vehicular equipment.

Senior: Minimum of six (6) years’ work and/or training experience (within the last 11 years) in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and vehicular equipment.

All levels: Must possess a complete set of department approved automotive mechanic tools.
Tech I: Minimum of one (1) active certification equivalent to those of ASE or NATEF, or must obtain one certification within 6 months of hire.

Tech II: Minimum of three (3) active certifications equivalent to those of ASE or NATEF. Additional or specific ASE certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.

Tech III: Minimum of four (4) active certifications equivalent to those of ASE or NATEF. Additional or specific ASE certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.

Senior: Minimum of five (5) active certifications equivalent to those of ASE or NATEF. Additional or specific ASE certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.
